Museo has designed a summer art camp
especially for teens and young adults
with developmental and learning
disabilities. Each day will be themed
around a different artist and art
movement exploring a variety of
materials, techniques and principles.
Projects will also focus on
development of fine motor and visual
processing skills. During our week, we
will make drawings, paintings,
collages and prints along with mixed
media work in clay. Daily breaks
include snack time and games outside.
Campers need to be 12 years of age or
older, independent in their personal
care skills, and able to function in a
small group with an 8:1
student-to-instructor ratio. We also
plan to have volunteer artists serve
as mentors for the students...please
let us know in advance if your artist
would benefit from such a mentor.
