Badge Project Descriptions:
Juniors Drawing Badge
When earning their drawing badge, scouts will learn the fundamentals of drawing. Scouts will experiment with a variety of drawing materials and techniques, and apply their discoveries toward making a final drawing on 9x12” drawing paper. Each scout will create their own personal masterpiece featuring shading, perspective, and other drawing fundamentals. At the end of the lesson, scouts will have the opportunity to showcase their work.
Cadettes Comic Artist Badge
Scouts will dive into the world of comics, and get a crash course in creating a comic of their own. Each scout will develop their own short story and learn how to translate their words into a drawn comic with four panels. Once completed, scouts will be able to create a final comic page on 9x12” Bristol paper, complete with panels, speech bubbles, and inking!
