Clay and Mixed Media Camp

will have your kids begging for a summer evening walk at the sculpture park!

For Kids, ages 5-8 & 8-12

We’ll get to know each other by injecting our personalities into a sculptural mask molded from our own faces...We’ll be inspired by Northwest wildlife and create a favorite creature out of clay…We’ll work with plaster, mosaic glass and a variety of mixed media materials to build fantastic original sculptures… And on the last day of camp, we’ll take a look at Christo’s landscape installations and work together as a group to create our own temporary installation outside! Oh, and just maybe, we’ll enjoy a little ice cream in the sunshine too!

Drawing Camp

is a great way to keep track of favorite summer memories!

For Kids, ages 5-8 & 8-12

Museo’s own professional artists/instructors will help kids develop and hone their drawing skills with a series of projects in charcoal, ink, pastel, graphite and other drawing media. Working from observation as well as imagination, kids will learn to develop a drawing language as a means of personal expression. Bust those summer boredom blues and sport some lively summer color on the fridge at home!

Painting Camp

will take advantage of our unbeatable landscape!

For Kids, ages 5-8 & 8-12

We’ll head outside to paint en plein-air, work from our imaginations and observation, and discover abstraction as we study renowned painters and use their works as a basis for our own exploration of styles and techniques. Focusing on subject matter, use of color, and application of paint we'll create a beautiful mixed-media painting on a stretched canvas. This active, informative and energy-filled camp will leave your little Picasso with a ton of artistic knowledge and inspiration to last the whole summer!
