TEEN DRAWING CAMP: Drawing
is an excellent language to
communicate creative ideas. During
the week, teens will explore a
variety of media to start a personal
dialog with the world! From larger
physically expressive drawings, to
small intimate landscape sketches,
you are in for a new adventure in
self-expression! Come ready to let
your mind wander!

CLAY AND MIXED MEDIA: The
week will be full of sculpting
projects using a variety of
materials including
air drying clay,
wire and combined media. Among
other projects, we will make
personal masks and get to know each
other by sharing our stories! This
project was handed down to a Museo
artist/instructor by a tribal healer
used to open lines of communication
within a community to express oral
history. We will express our
creativity and our own stories, look
at a lot of tribal and contemporary
masks made by professional artists,
and have a true treasure of our own
to keep.

TEEN PAINTING CAMP: Explore
the richness and beauty of Northwest
summers outdoors! We will venture
on a daily neighborhood hike to
create
plein-air
paintings from the environment
working with a variety of painting
media and visual concept. Students
will create work from observation of
the landscape, thinking about
representation as well as
abstraction. We will work through
quick expressive reflections on the
environment as well as a longer,
more drawn out and finished piece.
We will observe and learn the
painting language of nationally and
regionally known landscape painters
while taking in a little fresh air
and summer sunshine. Bring your

TEEN PRINTMAKING CAMP: Printmaking
has long been a creative release for
the professional artist. The media
combines the best of drawing,
painting, drafting and collage all
in one camp, plus you get to keep
multiple copies of your
masterpiece! Students will learn
about the various printmaking
processes and select from choices
available to them in linoleum block
printmaking, monotype printmaking,
mixed media experimental
printmaking, collograph, bookmaking
or water based screen printmaking.
