It is our goal to cultivate creative confidence and individual expression in each and every student. We provide knowledgeable and respectful guidance and support, in a safe and comfortable environment, as students explore media and techniques.

We use a variety of teaching methods through which students are encouraged to express their own unique style. Each lesson focuses heavily on the CREATIVE PROCESS with emphasis on developing skills.

For now, our studio is completely virtual and will remain so until Phase 3 of the Washington State Reopening Plan. Even then, many classes will still be available online.

When things are "normal", we offer a variety of camps, weekly classes, and Friday Night family events in our downtown Issaquah studio and on-site at local schools and clubs. All lessons are designed to exceed the National Standards for Arts Education. In addition to this, we host birthday parties, private group projects, field trips and corporate team-building events.

We hope to see you online (or in our studio) very soon. Until then, keep creating!

READ MORE ABOUT OUR EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY: PROCESS OVER PRODUCT

a note from the founder & president

Art is subjective and extremely personal. There is no “right way” to create it or experience it, but rather endless opportunity for discovery.

Art moves us. It can be incredibly beautiful and quite disturbing. Most importantly of all, it can make us open our eyes to the world as it relates to others. One does not need to decide whether he “likes” it or not; just consider it.

I believe growth in art appreciation and artistic ability comes from a never-ending process of building experiences. How we interpret or react to something is personal and unique and is a product of our own individual journey. Hours of formal training, trial and error, admiration and imitation of observed techniques, tons of practice, spontaneous results–they all help to create the artist of the future. I hope that you’ll come join us to pursue your journey of discovery.
