You always remember your favorite teachers. Whether it's for their quirky personalities, their interesting sense of style, or for their incredible abilities to engage you in subject matter you didn't know interested you. For Amber Cass, she wouldn't realize just how profound of an effect these teachers would have on her until later in her life.
Growing up, Amber always loved art and creating crafts both in and outside of school. While she excelled in these areas, she never intended to pursue them as a career. Luckily, during her second year of studying Veterinary Medicine, Amber enrolled in an Art History class. Her professor taught her how Art evolved throughout time, allowing artists to invent new forms of expression, which sparked a renewed interest in her to create. Amber graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Art from Coastal Carolina University with an emphasis on drawing and a minor in Art History. Upon graduation, Amber instantly knew that she wanted to teach the next generation how to use their creativity to express themselves artistically. She thought back to all of her previous art teachers and how unbeknownst to her at the time, they had always been her biggest motivators and forms of inspiration.
Now, with over 7 years of teaching experience, Amber is excited to continue sharing her love for art and it's rich history with a new generation of young artists at Museo. She hopes to bring them as much joy, motivation, and inspiration as her former teachers brought her.
