Gary Logan is a Caribbean American artist who was born on the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago and raised in the United States. He attended Boston University, where he received both his BFA and MFA in Painting, and during a decade in Massachusetts, he also initiated a career in education and social service.
He later relocated to New York and New Jersey, where he developed his art career and worked as an art educator in both states. Gary then moved to São Paulo, Brazil for artistic research and to gain more international art exposure. During his time in Brazil, he had the opportunity to teach English and to explore Brazil’s diverse landscape and culture for three years.
After returning to the USA, Gary lived in Miami, Florida while furthering his studio practice and working as the Visual Arts Director and an art educator at Miami Arts Charter School.
Along with solo and group exhibitions in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, São Paulo, South Florida, St. Louis, and Venice, his artwork has been highlighted in periodicals such as LandEscape Art Review, ITSLIQUID, All the Art, Bostonia Magazine, Callaloo and Agni.
He currently resides in Bellevue and devotes his time to his artwork and teaching. Please visit his website at
