In our youngest classes, students are introduced to a wide variety of materials and begin to learn about the elements of art and principles of design as they explore their limitless imaginations. Lessons and projects emphasize the PROCESS of art-making, stimulate creativity, and develop fine motor skills.

Students learn about the work of master artists and the important roles they played in many cultures throughout time. They continue to build their knowledge of art element and design principles while they explore concepts and build skills working with several types of media.

Utilizing art elements and design principles effectively, students dive deep into a new art movement each month. Inspired by the characteristics unique to each movement, they explore a variety of materials and techniques as they develop their own creative style and confidence.

Students of all levels of art-making experience and ability are welcome in this open-concept class. Whether they want to explore a wide variety of mediums never tried before or they're building a formal portfolio of work in preparation for college applications, this class provides students with the opportunity to work 1:1 with an instructor to pursue their individual interests.
