Marni Vail
marni.museo@outlook.com Marni Vail is an artist and teacher born in Osaka, Japan. She has always loved to fill her life with creative endeavors like interior design, sewing her own clothes, creative writing, and painting. She focuses on painting people and animals, using oil and acrylics, and loves to capture their essence! She has also worked as a culinary artist in New York, where she started her own cooking business. Marni loves to create and believes that ‘art is our way of making sense of the world’. When living in Hawaii for ten years, she loved to paint near the ocean and collect driftwood and things she found on the beach to arrange into creations for her home. It gave her great satisfaction to take something discarded and give it new life. She was an aspiring journalist growing up, and it was her dream to travel and tell stories. She realized that art is another way to tell stories, and has power to transform and heal people by giving them hope, building confidence, and relieving stress. She received her B.A. in Peace Building (conflict resolution) and Instructional Design. Marni has always loved working with children and has worked in education for the past several years on the North Shore in Hawaii and in Issaquah. She believes that everyone truly is an artist and that we get to know ourselves a little better each time we create. Marni loves to spend time in the sunshine, do yoga, make friends, enjoy time with her family, create and eat yummy food, and explore with her husband and golden retriever, Bindi. |
