​Get your art badges with us! We offer opportunities for girl scouts to engage in hands-on learning and earn art badges in a creative and educational environment. Our Girl Scout workshops are specifically designed to fulfill badge requirements while learning skills and techniques, and can be customized to include your troop’s interests. Choose from painting (Brownies), drawing (Juniors), or cartoon artist (Cadette).

Workshops Includes:
- $25 per participant (minimum 5 participants; can accommodate up to a group of 24)
- 60 mins instructor-led lesson in our studio
- All art materials, tools, and aprons

Badge Project Descriptions:

Brownies Painting Badge
Scouts will learn how artists interpret the world around them and use their inspiration from the real world to create a painting on an 8X10” stretched canvas. Each student will create their own personal painting based off a common group theme. When completed, scouts will be able to connect their pieces to create a group mural. Scouts will develop skills with painting technique, applying paint in a variety of methods and composition.

Juniors Drawing Badge
When earning their drawing badge, scouts will learn the fundamentals of drawing. Scouts will experiment with a variety of drawing materials and techniques, and apply their discoveries toward making a final drawing on 9x12” drawing paper. Each scout will create their own personal masterpiece featuring shading, perspective, and other drawing fundamentals. At the end of the lesson, scouts will have the opportunity to showcase their work.

Cadettes Comic Artist Badge
Scouts will dive into the world of comics, and get a crash course in creating a comic of their own. Each scout will develop their own short story and learn how to translate their words into a drawn comic with four panels. Once completed, scouts will be able to create a final comic page on 9x12” Bristol paper,  complete with panels, speech bubbles, and inking!
