NOW HIRING:

Art Instructors (part-time)

MUSEO Art Academy is an award-winning leader in visual arts education programs for kids and teens. At MUSEO, it is our goal to cultivate creative confidence and individual expression in each student. We've built a solid foundation of programming in the Greater Puget Sound's Eastside, and we're now growing into some new and exciting areas.

OPEN POSITION:

Art Instructors (part-time)

Location: Issaquah, WA (in person)
The part-time instructors will teach a selection of weekly in-person art classes for kids and/or teens at our downtown Issaquah studios. Our class offerings include, but are not limited to General Art, Drawing, Painting, Clay, and Manga.

Teaching schedules can be customized based on the instructor’s areas of expertise and availability. Windows of time we're primarily targeting to cover classes are Saturdays (mornings) and/or weekdays (late afternoons/evenings). Saturday classes run year-round while Mon-Fri classes pause for the summer (see summer camp instructor role for additional teaching opportunity available during that time period).

Curriculum is provided--customization by instructors is optional and encouraged, if desired.

Qualifying candidates will possess the following:
  • Proficiency in one or more class types listed above
  • Working knowledge of art elements and design principles
  • Minimum four years of experience teaching visual arts to kids and/or teens (as a lead instructor)
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Outgoing enthusiastic personality
  • Positive attitude, team player, reliable, punctual
  • Proficiency in pottery wheel and ceramics is a plus

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and proven ability. Paid sick leave.

A note to experienced, well-qualified instructors:
We strive to continue building a team of high-quality educators. Let us know the rate you feel is fair and reasonable for you, we'll pull together a package that can't be beat!
To apply, please email your cover letter and resume in PDF format to "Hiring Manager" at MuseoArtAcademy@live.com.  Be sure to include a link to online images of five to ten samples of your artwork.
