project objectives --  Redmond week 06 mixed media and painting camps

Want to learn more about the awesome art created by our campers this week? See below for a full list of the projects (and their objectives) created during week six of camp.

Multiple Registration Printmaking
Objective: Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental printmaking techniques by creating a print that demonstrates double registration by using various tools and techniques.

Needle Felting
Objective: Demonstrate a well-felted artwork by demonstrating different forms and techniques.

Weaving
Objective: Demonstrate various elements and principles of art by creating a unique weaving.

Metalworking Creature
Objective: Demonstrate repousse and chasing techniques by creating a creature inspired by mythology inspired creature.

Painting on Textured Bases
Objective: Demonstrate the ability to create texture through the use of a variety of materials. Students will then utilize proper painting technique to paint on a textured surface.

Acrylic Sky/Weather Painting
Objective: Demonstrate different sky types by using acrylic paints, color schemes and varying brushstrokes.

Watercolor Resist
Objective: Demonstrate various watercolor techniques and how to use resists to help preserve the whites of the paper.

Posterized Painting
Objective: Students will show the relationship between color and value by creating a posterized painting.

Blown/Drip Watercolor Painting
Objective: Demonstrate wet-into-wet techniques to create a watercolor painting with energy.

Fruit Cross-Section
Objective: Demonstrate the ability to create various textures, highlights and shadows through various applications with paints. ​
