Rileigh Shelton

​Rileigh was drawn to art and design from a very young age. As a child, she pored over artist encyclopedias and photography books, begged for museum visits, and dreamed of becoming an illustrator. Her enthusiasm carried her through high school, where she became lucky enough to be recognized for national awards for her portrait work, as well as acceptance into local art museums and galleries!

After high school, she traveled to Chicago to study art before returning
home to pursue her other passion: teaching. Today, she attends UW and is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Education with a focus in both outreach education and art with the goal of teaching art as a career! In her personal work, Rileigh has always been fascinated with the outdoors and animals, and this is where the majority of her art focuses.
