Our summer camps are a memorable and fun way to help promote a well-rounded and fulfilling life for our students. MUSEO’s Drawing Camp (one of our most popular), integrates these elements to offer a holistic learning experience that will benefit these young artist for many years to come, wherever they go.

Techniques and Media
Drawing is one of the best foundational skills to teach young artists. Drawing skills translate to many artforms and can be incredibly helpful in academic and professional settings too! Our Drawing Camp provides exposure to various mediums including graphite, colored pencils, inking, charcoal, and pastels. This diversity allows students to explore and understand essential drawing aspects such as perspective, value, and observational drawing (detailed explanations listed below):
- Perspective is a method of giving a sense of depth on a flat or shallow surface (source). Campers will learn to depict objects as they appear in real life, creating depth and authenticity in their work.
- Value is the art of using light and shade to create interest and form. This technique helps in creating a 3-D effect, giving substance and life to their drawings.
- Observational Drawing allows students to analyze the world around them and convey what they see to others. We teach them how to simplify objects into basic shapes and how to observe and draw proportions with greater accuracy, enhancing believability and clarity.

Creativity and Expression
Alongside realistic drawing, we encourage campers to express themselves with projects like the 'Inked Animal' series. Here, they learn to simplify complex forms into geometric shapes and vividly bring them to life with various inking techniques.
