MUSEO Art Academy is an award-winning leader in visual arts education programs for kids and teens. At MUSEO, it is our goal to cultivate creative confidence and individual expression in each student. We've built a solid foundation of programming in the Greater Puget Sound's Eastside, and we're now growing into some new and exciting areas.

POSITION:

Art Instructor (summer camps)

​Location: Issaquah, WA (in person)
​Now hiring instructors to teach a full line-up of small, in-person 2023 Summer Camps. This position is temporary for summer 2023 only.* The camps run June 26th - August 25th, are split up into groups of roughly ages 5-7, 7-10, and 10-13. Camps cover a variety of art media including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and pottery. Half-day shifts (8am-12:30pm or 12pm-4:30pm) and full-day shifts (8am-4:30pm) are available. 

Qualifying candidates will possess the following:
  • Proficiency in illustration, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and clay hand-building
  • Working knowledge of art elements and design principles
  • Minimum four years of experience teaching visual arts to kids (as lead instructor)
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Outgoing enthusiastic personality who loves working with children
  • Positive attitude, team player, reliable, punctual
  • Proficiency in pottery wheel is a plus, but not required

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Paid sick leave. 

*Additional school year instructor Art Instructor | Part-Timeopportunities available as well.
