How Are Some Images So Vibrant? It's Called HDR!

Some images appear to be too bright and vivid to be real. Don't let that fool you, these photos are 100% real with little edits. So how do you create these amazing images? Well the answer may surprise you...

HDR, short for high dynamic range photography is a combination of three of the same images. One image is taken at normal exposure, one taken under exposed, and the last image taken over exposed. After merging the three photos, a new beautiful eye catching photograph is formed!

Lets walk through the process step by step.

Step 1:
Find a setting that appeals to you and place your camera on a tripod or a table that will prevent the camera from moving. It is important to prevent the camera from moving while taking the three photographs.

Step 2:
Take an image at normal exposure.

Step 3:
Take an image three notches down in exposure.

Step 4:
Take an image three notches above normal exposure.

Step 5:
In photoshop, upload the three photos. Under the enhance option in the top tool bar, select photo merge or an option that sounds similar to that. From there, the three photos will be combined and form an image such as this:
